New Darlington Plant Rises from the Dead!

Article

OTTAWA, Oct. 30 /CNW Telbec/ - Canada's Environment Minister Jim Prentice and Mr. Michael Binder, President and CEO of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC), announced today the establishment of a three-member joint review panel for the proposed Darlington New Nuclear Power Plant Project located at the existing Darlington Nuclear site in the municipality of Clarington, Ontario.

And they immediately gave employment to the two people they just tacked onto the board!

So why is federal Govt pushing ahead when Province said no new nucs for now thanks?

The Energy Secretariat (old company) ramped up a whole division for new nuclear, and they have to do something! The hearings are so shallow that they can present an imaginary plant of undefined specifications, and then 'can' the automatic approval for 10 years.
